Water Purification with Ozone<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of ozone and its equivalent UV, which are two well-known methods for both water and wastewater treatment, have been in demand all over the world for decades and have been implemented by local governments and industrial facilities. In addition to its disinfection ability, ozone offers successful solutions in removing taste, odor and color, and reducing iron and manganese levels in water with its precipitating effect. Color Removal with Ozone<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The color originating from organic molecules or substances in water begins to break down and lose its effect as soon as it comes into contact with ozone. Due to the strong oxidant structure of ozone gas, its success in removing color and odor from drinking water has also created an important market in wastewater treatment. Ozone systems have very low operating costs and no personnel costs. Ozone systems provide 85-98% success in color removal and 40-55% success in COD removal.
